Sandra Drive Restoration Project

University Park, Illinois

Overview

The Village of University Park engaged Antero Group to address critical infrastructure deficiencies along Sandra Drive, a primary residential roadway. Years of deferred maintenance had led to the failure of the underlying stormwater system, resulting in a sinkhole that posed a serious safety risk to the community. Antero conducted comprehensive due diligence, including topographic analysis, geotechnical studies, utility assessments, and wetland delineation, to inform the selection of a preferred design solution.

Guided by considerations of cost, durability, and timely delivery, Antero advanced the chosen alternative through full design engineering, producing complete construction documents. Following contractor selection, the team provided construction administration services to ensure the project was executed according to approved plans, with the quality and precision required to restore and sustain the long-term integrity of this vital corridor.
